The village of Teia is located in the south of the Maresme region, 20 km from Barcelona and 15 km from Mataro. The municipality currently covers an area of 6.63 km2 and is located in the valley formed by the Riera de Teia, which runs through the town centre and flows directly into the sea.
The historic centre of the municipality is located at the foot of the mountain, at an altitude of 128 metres, near the old parish church of Sant Marti.
