All fans of sailing will be meeting up for the "Festival International de la Plaisance"

You have a date to keep on September 13th. All fans of sailing will be meeting up for the “Festival International de la Plaisance”, a 6-day event whose popularity brings growing numbers of visitors to Cannes from all over the world.

Last year’s figures prove the point : with 420 exhibitors on 4 km of quaysides and jetties, almost 500 boats in the water and some 55,000 visitors, this boat show is becoming more successful with every passing year. For its 29th edition, it will be even bigger, adding Port Canto to its usual site, hitherto restricted to the Old Port of Cannes. The new location will play host to the world of brokerage and custom-made boats. And the presence of European and American brokers such as Yachting Partners International, Fraser Yachts, Camper & Nicholsons and Berthon Company will see that visitors discover some of the finest secondhand models in the world. Various other booths cover all the activities in the nautical sector (boatbuilders, equipment suppliers, service firms, architects, designers…), displaying their expertise and latest offerings, some in the form of previews. Amongst them, catamarans such as the Privilège 745 from Alliaura Marine and the Nautitech 44, yachts (the Ferretti 780, Custom Line 97, Couach 3300 Fly…) and navigation technologies (including Furano’s range of sounders). Yet again, Cannes’ International Boat Show seems set to confirm its reputation as a reference among floating exhibitions and as a source of dreams and escapism.

To meet ever-growing demand for exhibition space, the Boat Show’s organizers raise the capacity of the Old Port each year by carrying off real technical achievements (extensions, mobile floating passageways, additional barges, pontoons…).

Whether they’re already well-known by the public or presented for the very first time, close on 500 models, sail or motor, are exhibited afloat. Come admire, among others, the Dolphin 44 from Mochi Craft (1), the Pershing 50 (2), the Nautitech 44 (3) and the most recent model from Couach : the 3300 Fly (4).
