The Moonen 96’ heralds a new series in the cruise yacht category. With an exterior designed by René van der Velden, she benefits from naval architecture signed Stolk Marimecs and Moonen Shipyards. Aerodynamic curves, a refined silhouette, the 96 offers a handsome low profile and a roomy interior that easily accommodates the owners, six guests, a nanny and four crew. She has in fact been designed to be as practical and comfortable as possible, with three decks sharing the various living areas. The master suite and its bathroom is situated to the fore of the main deck. A wide hall connects it to a very pleasant open-plan lounge/dining-room. To the fore of the lower deck one finds a VIP cabin with two others, symmetrical, midships, all with their own bathrooms. The nanny’s cabin, laundry and a spacious storage area are on the portside. The interior decoration has been entrusted to Alessandra Negrato who has come up with a warm, contemporary atmosphere. Sobriety was the rule of thumb and the furnishings are unpretentious. The écru and blue fabrics, the lighting and intelligently placed windows all ensure lots of light. This decor corresponds, of course, to the clients’ requirements and can be completely changed. Outside, the fly bridge has been designed so that it can be covered quickly in the event of bad weather. The relaxation area with its sofas, fridge and grill benefits from a mobile awning, allowing for a choice of sun or shade. On the main bridge, glass doors protect the “open-air” lounge area from wind and rain. As is the case for all the Moonen models, this 96’ is equipped with an excellent system aimed at reducing noise and vibrations. With the Moonen 96, the shipyard has again shown that it can meet ever higher demands in terms of quality.
