Couach 5000 fly

Exception now has a name : La Pellegrina. Tested under very demanding navigation conditions, it remained totally unruffled thanks to its innovative hull made of Aramat, a composite material half Kevlar, half polyester fibre.

An on-going project since 2007, it was only very recently that this 50-metre yacht could finally be revealed. In this part of France, it was at the Cannes and Monaco Boats Shows held in September that we had the chance to admire it. Its construction was hindered on several occasions. Among other things, the shipyard changed hands twice, and is now owned by two French industrialists : Florent Battistella and Christian Chevalier (of Nepteam). Long-awaited, therefore, and certainly justifying the delay, La Pellegrina is an amazing model in terms of comfort, good looks and performance, with exemplary energy consumption as a bonus... Its interior design bears the signature of Jean-Pierre Fantini, and Danielle Chopard was entrusted with the decor. Its many windows are truly generous ; some on the side are floor to ceiling, others mid-height. The lacquered white ceilings and varnished sycomore used for the partition walls and furnishings emphasize the light and space. One minor criticism, however : the galley seems much too small for this giant of the seas. No doubt it will be given a new take for the second unit scheduled for the end of 2013. Nevertheless, La Pellegrina offers its owner and passengers more than the basic minimum with six select cabins, its vast saloon and panoramic views of the sea, its huge solarium, bar, jacuzzi... It is, in fact, a luxurious backcloth for moments of escapism one never wants to end.
