Sotheby’s Paris Ouest International Realty

Backed by the magnitude of Sotheby’s, the world's N°1 network for prestige real estate with 1,000 offices worldwide, Frank Sylvaire and his partner Paulo Fernandes have developed its activities in Paris and the I^le de France for the past 15 years. Surrounded by a team of experts, the duo can confirm its expansion with the launch of six agencies.

This is a tale of remarkable success for both friends and family. Backed by his friend Paulo Fernandez, his wife Macha Sylvaire, Marketing Manager, and Joanna Jourdes, Financial and Legal Manager, Frank Sylvaire points out immediately : "We owe our success to our unity, our family connections, and shared values". It was in 2009 that Frank Sylvaire wrote a new chapter in the tale by developing the Sotheby’s Realty Immobilier brand in Paris. "This year, I am celebrating 30 years in real estate, and 2009 will remain a milestone in my career. The image of luxury conveyed by the Sotheby’s network and its clientele has helped us to get through the crisis. After coming to a full standstill last summer, we began to feel the quiverings of a recovery from mid-September and have since completed some major transactions in our agencies.

The Olympic Games boosted the Parisian market, and the strength of the dollar and decline in interest rates brought back American clients : a very effective ecosystem to revitalize our properties meeting the demands of our foreign clientele. As for France, the savings ratio is now substantial nationwide, which works in favour of real estate activity. Less focused on consumption, the French are looking to invest in solidity, and bricks and mortar are reassuring. Before Covid, the average number of sales in France was 850,000 per year. In 2021 and 2022, this figure exploded, attaining 1,250,000 ! At the end of 2023, we witnessed a spectacular rise in interest rates and a 30 % decline in annual transactions. In 2024, the curve reversed and figures again began to climb. Mathematically, in 2025, the number of transactions should continue to rise. We remain optimistic, the market will again post a beautiful recovery."
