Mougins: Mondatta is now John Taylor
In 2004, Vanessa and Christophe Grenes founded the Agence Mondatta in Mougins which they co-managed for 17 years. A few weeks ago, the John Taylor group took an interest in this agency in the chic and countrified outpost of Cannes. An address which now strengthens its network in the back-country...
In the wake of the Alpilles and the Luberon, it is now the turn of Mougins to enter the fold of John Taylor alongside the historic and very well-established agencies of Valbonne and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Vanessa and Christophe remain at the helm of this go-ahead branch with 12 members in its team. People working in Sophia-Antipolis, often ex-pat executives, appreciate Mougins and enrol their children in the international schools, the CIV or Mougins School.
The vast majority of them benefit from budgets ranging from 1 to 3 million euros, and they are all in search of grounds of up to 3,000 m², living space of 200 to 250 m², open views, and proximity to main roads heading towards pools of employment.“25% of our clientele are looking for second homes, whether they are French or north European,” explain Vanessa and Christophe. “They set their sights on a very reassuring long-term investment in real estate and an acquisition for their family’s enjoyment. Many are preparing for retirement in the sun and fall for the charm of the Côte d’Azur.”
A luxuriant commune equidistant from Cannes, Sophia and Antibes, Mougins boasts a medieval village of inimitable stylishness, generous grounds, gated and guarded estates that appeal to families in search of peace and quiet.
It is hard to resist the good restaurants, art-galleries and Sunday strolls near the lake. Frequently, house hunting starts in Cannes then focuses on Mougins, or even Opio and Châteauneuf-de-Grasse, addresses synonymous with spaciousness and privacy. “Over the past two years,” adds Vanessa Grenes, “ the market has been particularly active. Demand is even outpacing supply.”
