Interview with its founder, Edouard Gruson, and Anne François, in charge of the sales department.

Our agency’s atmosphere conveys our image and our way of working : for us, the human dimension is primordial.”

By grouping together three complementary fields consisting of sales, seasonal and year-round rentals, Maisons du Sud-Ouest asserts its presence in the most highly-prized sectors on the Côte Basque. “The strength of our agencies is to propose three areas of activity deploying total synergy and enabling us to win the loyalty of clients who can easily pass from one to another,” explains Edouard Gruson. As for the market within the region, they confirm a slowdown :

“We have gone from a sellers’ to a buyers’ market, and are still seeing a kind of wait-and-see approach. Bargaining is very active, projects take longer to complete, though it is also rather comfortable to work at a less hectic pace than in the post-Covid period. In our agencies, we are maintaining a steady flow of activity, especially in the fields of seasonal rentals and the acquisition of second homes.”

And the future ? “We remain optimistic. After going through several crises in 25 years, we are still here !”
