Hong Kong, a world apart

Its name means “Port of Perfumes”. Here, 19th-C. British adventurers made way for businessmen from all over the world. In Asia, this extraordinary address is a symbol of economic prosperity.

With over 12,000 restaurants (62 with Michelin stars) in 2014, Hong Kong is now a hot-spot for gourmet travellers. Each year since 2008, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival in November has been ranked by Forbes magazine as one of the ten most important international events related to wine. Held at the heart of town on the new “Central” seafront, the Festival, with over 160,000 visitors in 2013, is a real gastronomy fair. Most of the best addresses join in the fun, proposing menus with the most refined combinations of food and wine throughout the month. A great opportunity to discover this former British colony, a real global city where ex-pats from the world of finance and business live at breakneck speed.
