On the subject of the region’s property market, she adds : “After the glorious post-Covid period, the market is currently more stretched. New legislation on short-term rentals has set a brake on sales. In parallel, demand is still very strong for spacious apartments in the town centre, offering a walk-everywhere lifestyle. Prices are still high, though they have ceased to climb, and some are even seeing downward negotiation. On average, one can expect to pay about 10,000 euros per sq. metre for an apartment of quality with a balcony and parking place”. And the future ? “I remain optimistic, though I think that uncertainties surrounding the general context will have an impact on our profession.”
