A personality in the media and a pioneer in the field of home-hunting in France, Thibault Chanel is the driving-force behind two estate-agencies in Paris. Giving priority to advice and trust at the core of each transaction, he reinstates the full dimension of the concept of made-to-measure and proximity for his clientele.

Thibault Chanel needs no introduction ! The star presenter of the very popular M6 programme “Recherche appartement ou maison” also heads up two estate-agencies. The first, in Le Marais, was inaugurated in 2014, and the second, near the Canal Saint-Martin, opened its doors in 2016 : “These two agencies have given me the chance to attract a neighbourhood clientele. For me, proximity and the human dimension are of vital importance. Acquiring or selling a property can be very emotional, whence the need to set up a relationship of trust and create a genuine bond”. Attracting a mainly Parisian or French clientele, his agencies offer properties ranging from 500,000 to 2 million euros : “My selection gives precedence to apartments in the middle of the price range, but characterized by quality, charm and visual appeal. Similarly, I have paid special attention to the way in which my agencies are decorated : they borrow the codes of an apartment rather than those of an office”. In the wake of a year when sales picked up significantly, the first quarter of 2017 seemed to Thibault Chanel to have been rather tense : “There are currently very few properties of quality on the Parisian market, and the number of buyers exceeds that of sellers. Prices are starting to show a slight upturn, yet sales have picked up. By way of example, we recently presented an apartment at 1.9 million euros, for which I received three offers in a single morning and which sold in four days without any bargaining”.

After studying law, Thibaut Chanel was first destined to a career as an actor. In 2005 he was drawn towards real estate when exploring the profession of home-hunter. Since 2006, he has presented the M6 programme “Recherche appartement ou maison” alongside Stéphane Plaza. In parallel, he inaugurated his two first agencies in Paris in 2014 and 2016. A third branch is also in the pipeline.
