Premium auctions with Drouot
DROUOT Specializing in the sale of antiques and “objets d’arts” at public auctions since 1852, La Maison Drouot has extended its expertise by launching a new platform dedicated to auctions of prestige real estate. Learn more from Olivier Lange and Frédéric Pascal about this on-line activity looking forward to a rosy future.
The purpose behind Drouot.immo is to enable the property market to benefit from Drouot’s expertise in auctioneering. “Following the successful launch in 2009 of the on-line auction platform Drouot.com which built our know-how, we launched this new platform at the end of 2024 specializing in high-end real estate and diversifying our service. The idea is to assist real estate professionals and see that they benefit from this new sales channel. And to make it clear that we are auctioneers, we are not replacing estate agents !” explains Olivier Lange, General Manager of the Drouot group.

Rapidity, transparency, security…, the Drouot.immo platform ticks all the right boxes. “It in fact allows for a property to be highlighted by staging a competition between several buyers and offering it at a fair price in all transparency, in an interactive, on-line sale lasting 60 minutes on the clock. The other advantage proposed by this platform is providing high visibility for our audience of high-income buyers in France and on the international scene. We have signed a partnership with Espaces Atypiques who were the first to place their trust in this new model by offering prestige properties for sale. We are currently canvassing other real estate professionals to extend our offerings,” adds Frédéric Pascal, in charge of Drouot’s commercial development. Right now, the Drouot.immo platform proposes 10 properties on a rolling basis and weekly auctions. “This system already works very well for prestige real estate in English-speaking countries, and we hope to convince the French market. We are sure that this new tool can shine a light on exceptional properties in high demand, but also give a boost to properties still looking for takers.”
