Marie-Charlotte D : a different approach to real-estate…

Driven by a passion for architecture and backed by a career which took her to the United States, Marie-Charlotte de Demandolx launched her estate agency in Bordeaux in 2011. Alone at the helm, her aim is to provide a rigorous selection of properties. Encounter with a woman of good taste who cultivates independence and real discernment…

A single contact, a high level of availability, a discreet approach : a few words summing up Marie-Charlotte D. Stamping her own personality on the role of estate agent, Marie-Charlotte de Demandolx has made her mark in all its individuality, and with success, on Bordeaux’s property market. “It is my own choice to manage my agency alone. I only select properties which touch me, into which I can project myself. I refuse to present properties one finds everywhere else in other agencies, and I always try to keep one step ahead or have exclusive mandates in my portfolio. This ultra-selective and confidential side is what makes me different, and so far it has paid off.” A strong identity also found on the agency’s website which has, in fact, had a facelift for 2019. The bonus ? A focus on prestige properties accompanied by films in which Marie-Charlotte appears : “These short films made in collaboration with a production company emphasize the intimate side of my approach and add a touch that is visually pleasing”. On the subject of Bordeaux’s property market, Marie-Charlotte explains : “After a real frenzy that lasted for two years, it has calmed down and benefited from a shakeout. There has been a definite slowdown since the month of May. We are again seeing normal time-lags for sales, from one to three months. Prices are stagnating in prized neighbourhoods and declining in less sought-after parts of Bordeaux. It is again a more coherent market which I find much healthier”
