Daniel Féau in Provence

With seven decades of real-estate transactions on the luxury market in Paris to its credit, Daniel Féau made its first incursion into Provence in 2018. Four years later, a fourth agency is opening its doors in Saint-Tropez. Flashback to a success story in the South of France…

Haussmann apartments, penthouses, private mansions in the capital’s most select arrondissements and on its near periphery to the west have ensured the success of Daniel Féau. It was therefore perfectly natural that in 2018, the group’s President, Charles-Marie Jottras, and General Manager Nicolas Pettex initiated development in Provence, with Nicolas Ginon at the helm.

The head office for Provence is located in Aix, the aptly named “21st arrondissement of Paris”. The aim was clear : to benefit from synergy between Paris and the Capital of Green Provence. At the end of 2019, the agency in Lourmarin laid claim to the Luberon and the Alpilles. In 2021, Daniel Féau took up its quarters in the 8th arrondissement of Marseille. In the spring of 2022, Saint-Tropez welcomes the group at 7 Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, in the historic neighbourhood of La Ponche.

The four agencies in the South currently employ about 15 members in their team. “Contrary to all expectatons, the healthcare crisis accelerated our development. Some clients opt to work from home in the very lively towns of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille while commuting back and forth to Paris or Lyon. Others, fans of nature and wide open spaces, consolidate their assets in the Luberon or Alpilles, acquiring second homes less than 3 hours from Paris thanks to the TGV calling at the stations of Aix and Avignon.

Many embark upon real life changes, reassured by bricks and mortar, or deciding to anticipate retirement, with budgets from 1 to 2 million euros on average, the sum required for a drystone Provençal “mas” of about 250 m² in Gordes, a charming “bastide” or a contemporary villa in Aix, or a town house with sea view in the 7th or 8th arrondissements of Marseille. In Saint-Tropez, properties proposed by the Daniel Féau agency are all selected for their intrinsic qualities and their locations. With starting prices of around 3-4 million euros for a beautiful residence of 150 m² near Pampelonne,” explains Nicolas Ginon, who is optimistic about the return of Anglo-Saxon clients and fully confident in real-estate investments.
