During the interview, this high-level golfer claims that golf has been the driving force behind the largest transactions in the region, for which he is responsible : “It was golf that made my reputation and enabled me to win my clients’ loyalty ! It also led me to set up my structure as a duo with my friend, Thibault Blancafort, who handles all the image and communication aspects. For my part, I manage the commercial side and have worked with a clientele loyal for many years, or by recommendation”. On the subject of the local market, he adds : “It was irrational for a full three years, it needed to calm down ! The situation has changed. Since the end of 2021, Hossegor has stolen the starring role from Biarritz, becoming the new place to be. Even if Biarritz continues to inspire dreams and remains attractive, Hossegor is scoring lots of points. The town has developed in a spectacular way, now offering a plethora of luxury boutiques and very good restaurants. Attractions bringing a prestigious clientele.
Another argument : the size of building plots is much more generous in Hossegor, which offers villas and large properties benefitting from vast outdoor areas. We recently sold a house of 200 m2 in Hossegor, in grounds of 3,000 m2 with a pool and a house of 100 m2 for guests, priced at around 5 million euros. Luxury real estate is doing well, unaffected by the crisis, unlike middle-of-the-range properties. For this segment, the current context and new legislation are pushing the cursor headlong into a crisis...”.
