Le Kimono à l’honneur

Making its appearance more than 1,000 years ago, the kimono - literally "something to be worn" - is, in the eyes of the Japanese, a cultural monument. From Samurai graduates on the podium to kabuki performers and new international pop-stars, they all wear this iconic piece of clothing. Designed by the Victoria and Albert Museum of London, this exhibition staged at the Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac reviews the history of a traditional item oblivious to passing time. Jusqu’au 28 mai 2023. Paris 7e. 37, Quai Jacques Chirac. (01 56 61 70 00)
