Ferrari Roma, Italian flair

This 2-seater coupé is surprising in many respects, starting with its aerodynamic line, particularly pure for a Maranello model, with elegant, minimalist design, and no superfluous details... A success in esthetic terms, different from intimidating, traditional Ferraris.

The headlights are delicate and elongated, subtly framing a radiator grille that melts into the bodywork. 4.65 metres long, the Roma offers a cockpit split in two by a superb central console. Digital instruments and generous touchscreens lend real modernity to a car that promises to perform the entire score of the “Dolce Vita”.

On board, a 3.9-liter turbocharged V8, voted best engine in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, capable of producing 620 hp. This grand touring model weighing 1.47 tons leaps from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, zero to 200 km/h in 9.3 seconds, chalking up a top speed of 320 km/h. 70% of the bodywork and chassis components have been entirely revisited in order to obtain this optimized weight. The results are there, with the best power-to-weight ratio in this category : 2.37 kg/hp. The automatic 8-speed gearbox is based on the SF90 Stradale. With the Roma, driving pleasure goes hand-in-hand with performance and handling. The luggage compartment behind the seats and the 272-liter trunk invite you to embark on long-distance getaways.

While the launch date has not yet been set, there is talk of a price-tag of just over 200,000 € and initial deliveries shortly before the summer of 2020. The Ferrari Roma clearly belongs to the same category as the McLaren GT and Lamborghini Huracan. “As a sublime everyday alternative,” hopes the marketing department of the Prancing Horse, “it could even overshadow SUVs or saloons”.
