Following his success as choreographer of the film “Black Swan”, dancer Benjamin Millepied settled in Los Angeles with his wife, Natalie Portman. Here, inspired by fresh creative energy, he has put together a group of creators to invent a new kind of ballet. The L.A. Dance Project tries to redefine the very notion of artistic collaboration. With stage-sets designed by artists and video-makers, highly unusual costumes and original music composed by Nico Muhly, the audience can expect a fabulous treat. On the programme : “Reflections”, a ballet by Benjamin Millepied inspired by jewellery signed Van Cleef & Arpels, “Quintett” by William Forsythe and “Winterbranch” by Merce Cunningham.
