'The island of Tuscany in Lombardy', so Gabriele D'Annunzio called Castiglione Olona. And, on the highest hill of the village, on the site of the ancient Castle of Castiglione stands the most important monument commissioned by the famous Cardinal Branda Castiglioni: the Collegiata.
