Admiring the sunset over the South Lagoon, sitting on a red bench, we take a stroll along the lagoon in the Junghans area, a former watch factory converted into a contemporary complex, where the modernity of the buildings and the flow of the canals wind in unison, merging the architectural style to the nature of the lagoon. Our property is located on the third floor and is equipped with condominium septic tanks. We enter through a glass entrance and via the lift we reach the entrance: a large living area opens up to us, lit from east to west with great views over the lagoon, a kitchenette and a beautiful wooden floor fill the room with elegance motionless. Before moving on to the sleeping area, we go out onto the small terrace to notice the lagoon panorama: two chairs and a small table, us and the lagoon. We then move on to the sleeping area; the double bedroom with a view makes us dream of an excellent awakening. We then pass into the bathroom, large and bright. Our visit hasn't finished giving us emotions yet, a door next to the entrance opens us to a private flight of stairs that takes us directly to the roof of the building: a large tub terrace on the fourth floor opens up in front of us, the size makes us think of multiple uses, large tables, a solarium area or a large outdoor living room with decorative plants, all with a sensational panorama of the entire lagoon: from here you can admire breathtaking sunsets, with your gaze turned to the Lido and the other islands and on the other side on the roofs of Venice, with the main monuments. This residence is one of a kind, the lagoon and its light connect in a visceral way to the property, the terraces create intimate and pleasant situations, maintaining contact with external nature.
The island of Giudecca is one of the residential areas best known in Venice. With its characteristic houses, and the famous church of the Redeemer, it exudes a charm that has always remained intact over time. Only a short gondola ride away from San Marco, it was called Venice's "garden of delights" in the 18th century.
The name “Junghans” comes from the famous German company which founded the first Italian watch manufacturer here. In the 21st century, a profound restoration has changed its destination: now in the factory buildings we can find a theater and several residential complexes that preserve the historical name of Junghans.
