When the Riva shipyard and the Gucci fashion-house combine their respective talents, it’s to come up with a truly exceptional boat. And probably a new icon…
There it was, enthroned at the entrance to the last Boat Show in Cannes, rather like a prologue to the event but also the 90th anniversary of Gucci, to be celebrated in 2011. Revealed to a public from the French Riviera, it drew the attention of dedicated fans, but also the simply curious. Two prestigious names joined together in a production as striking as this evidently suffices to subjugate everyone ! Developed by the Officina Italiana Design (responsible for the Aquariva concept back in 2000) and customized by Frida Giannini, Gucci’s Creative Director, this magnificent model will be available solely by order through the Riva dealership network. The stamp of Gucci is clearly visible in the fiberglass hull painted in glossy white, and seating upholstered in “Guccissima” printed fabric, while that of Riva is primarily expressed by the use of polished mahogany. At the waterline, three bands in green, red and green add that little extra touch. On board this seafaring gem accommodating up to eight, gentlemen will appreciate the power of the two Yanmar 380hp engines, while the ladies will flaunt their panoply of luxury accessories bearing the “Riva by Gucci” logo (bags, flip-flops, headsquares, swimwear, caps...). A combination guaranteeing an unmistakable taste of the Dolce Vita !
