Azimut 64

After selling over 200 units, the Azimut 62 has now been treated to a worthy heir. The new model, christened “64”, is ready to compete for the title of “best-seller”…

One can always do better. Inspired by this principle and prepared to turn each success into a new challenge, the shipyard has extended its range by revamping the “62”, now become a “64” with innovations in design and enhancements at all levels. Galeazzi has taken care of the decoration, the faithful Stefano Righini has been entrusted with the design. He has come up with a boat whose trapezoidal-shaped bow ensures maximum space for moving around. Giving the portholes a more modern allure, he has increased the field of vision and hence the amount of light. Adopting a different layout for the benchseats, the cockpit has gained extra space, with the seating inheriting a material more resistant to UV and damp. Outside, the bridge, now on the port side, retracts and disappears entirely during navigation. At the rear, a platform with a hydraulic mechanism extends the sunbathing area and allows a dinghy to be lowered into the water. The interior also benefits from this superb mastery of functional features. The smallest space is used as storage. The bed mattresses, for example, can be raised by pneumatic cylinders to provide considerable storage space, while the dining area accommodates up to 8 guests thanks to a sleight of hand (in the guise of a central panel and three folding chairs). The soundproofing has been given special attention, with the improvement especially noticeable in the master cabin. The decor is more luxurious. Limed-oak furnishings are upholstered in leather and designed without any sharp angles. Finally, one notes the perfect balance of the hull and the excellent sea-worthiness of this “64”, well-prepared to handle extreme conditions.
