Art and shopping in the open air

Polygone Riviera, the first open-air shopping centre in France, occupies a site of 70,000 m2 in Cagnes-sur-Mer. With fashion boutiques, beauty stores, design, culture, restaurants, a cinema, outdoor theatre and relaxation areas, it offers a unique concept well worth a visit !

Announced in 2010, the project for the first open-air “life-style mall” on the Côte d’Azur was very intriguing. Five years and about 350 million euros later, Socri and Unibail-Rodamco have now lifted the veil from Polygone Riviera. With 150 shops in four different areas, and a large Printemps department store offering luxury labels (Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Balenciaga, Boucheron, Chopard...), the mall also puts the accent on art. Artistic director Jérôme Sans - co-founder of the Palais de Tokyo - has installed works by renowned artists all over the site : Ben, César, Daniel Buren... Alongside this permanent collection, temporary exhibits are also planned. Sacha Sosno’s monumental “Guetteur” serves as the emblem of this new address. Outdoor areas with fountains have also been treated to special care. Designed by Jean Mus, the gardens reflect the four seasons with Mediterranean trees and shrubs.
