New Maserati Quattroporte

The mechanics of a sports car and the bodywork of a luxury saloon… Clearly, the Maserati cocktail launched in 1963 can still look forward to a rosy future.

Over half a century ago, the tale began at the Turin motor show with an audacious pirouette performed by this visionary manufacturer who installed a competition engine in a 4-seater saloon, which thus became the fastest in the world. The model has recently been treated to a strategic revamp. On the programme, two options for finishes, GranLusso and GranSport, with a second array of choices for the engines : 410-hp 3-litre twin turbo petrol V6, 275-hp 3-litre V6 turbo diesel, and 530-hp 3.8-litre twin turbo petrol V8 for the high-end version. The Italians are unequalled for combining performance with good looks, and 8-speed transmission and Skyhook suspensions guarantee comfort and sheer driving pleasure.

The GranLusso is synonymous with opulence. As witnessed by its interior styled and appointed by the famous fashion house of Ermenegildo Zegna. Top-quality materials including Italian silk, a leather steering wheel and wood trim triumph in a masterpiece of refinement. Comfort comes in the guise of electrically powered foot pedals and rear sunblind, 4-zone climate control, and heated rear seats. Recognizable for its chrome bumper inserts, the GranLusso offers elegant 20-inch Mercurio wheels. As for the GranSport, it gives priority to carbon fibre both inside and out.
